BMW has unveiled official images of the convertible version of the 8-Series made during the tests of the revived model in Death Valley – the legendary national Park in Eastern California, and in Las Vegas, reports citing .

The footage, caught in the net, it is clear that the design of the stylish “Bavarian” largely “echoes” with the same coupe, presented earlier.

So, bold and elegant convertible has got a massive grille, new led lights and a sports exhaust system with a larger “portion” of chrome.

According to experts, the new convertible from BMW can get a 4.4-liter turbo V8 with a capacity of 530 horsepower. This power unit will be combined with 8-step “automatic”.

For comparison, the coupe equipped with such a powerful engine, you may dial a “hundred” in just 3.7 seconds. The convertible, which is significantly heavier (+100/125 kg), will perform not worse – dispersal to “hundreds” for 4 seconds.

When to wait for the official debut of the convertible version of BMW 8-Series is still unknown. Experts do not exclude that the German brand may launch a new product in this year.
