Vakarchuk's party rallies demanding not to hold a teleconference with Russia

Several dozens of representatives of the Golos party Svyatoslav Vakarchuk on Monday picketed the office of NewsOne TV channel with a demand to cancel the teleconference with Russia. It is reported by RIA Novosti on July 8
Protesters hold posters with the inscriptions “Not a telebridge, but a telemin”, “Suitcase, airport, Moscow”, “There is no informational occupation of Ukraine”.
Speaking at the rally, Vakarchuk demands from the National Security and Defense Council and the Security Service of Ukraine to investigate "how the current owners of the Novosti holding (which includes NewsOne. – Ed.) Consolidated the television channels." All of them, according to Vakarchuk, occupy a pro-Russian position.
Vakarchuk noted that the protesters are not going to provoke any military confrontation at the channel.

In particular, according to him, the Golos party requires checking the sources of income of the owners of the TV channels that are part of the holding and their declarations.
“TV channels such as NewsOne need to be stopped, but from the point of view of the law,” said Vakarchuk.
Between the studios of the channel "Russia 1" in Moscow and NewsOne in Kiev on July 12 at 18:00 a teleconference will take place.
The presenters will be Maria Sittel and Andrey Malakhov from the Russian side, Elena Kirik with Vasily Golovanov from the Ukrainian side.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Union of Journalists expressed indignation at the teleconference, the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine urged not to panic, and the Poroshenko party saw an attempt to influence the election in the teleconference.
