The Armed Forces Special Operations Forces unit, passed the assessment of readiness and compliance to fulfill the tasks as part of the NATO Rapid Response Force (NRF NATO). This was announced on June 28 by HROMADSKE
The course of Ukraine on joining NATO is enshrined in the Constitution of the country. At the same time, President Vladimir Zelensky and his representatives have repeatedly stated the need for a referendum on this issue. At the same time, Ukraine has already enshrined in law such a concept as “NATO standards”, to which the country's armed forces should transfer.
“The certification of the Ukrainian unit was carried out in order to assure the Alliance of the ability of the unit involved in the NRF to fulfill the full range of tasks assigned to it during operations led by NATO,” the publication said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian media already disseminated information about the receipt of the certificate by some units of the Armed Forces, but later the Ministry of Defense called these messages premature. Recall the NATO Rapid Response Force (NRF) created in accordance with the decision taken at the 2002 NATO Summit in Prague and replaced the Allied Command of Europe with mobile forces.
The NATO Rapid Response Force consists of ground forces, special operations forces, air forces, naval forces, and is designed to carry out evacuation or armed response to crisis situations in all parts of the world.
