A week ago, on July 1, it became known that the Gorskaya and Karbonit mines of the Pervomaiskugol state enterprise and the Lisichanskugol state enterprise in the Lugansk region were de-energized, and 20 people remained underground at the Gorskaya mine.
At the same time, six of them refused to go to the surface, thus expressing a protest in connection with the shutdown of the mine from electricity, which would lead to flooding of mine workings and pumping stations.
“Just talked with the director of the mine“ Gorskaya “Dmitry Odintsov. The miners ’protest at the mine was suspended due to the fact that there is no longer any threat of disconnecting the mine from electricity, so all the miners have risen to the surface,” Lisyansky wrote.
Ukrainian miners regularly organize various protests and rallies. The main reason for their dissatisfaction is the non-payment of salaries to miners of state enterprises. The Kiev authorities cannot solve this problem for many years.
