Israeli army inflicted another series of attacks on Syrian territory (VIDEO)
Israeli aircraft hit dozens of Al-Quds battalions of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Syrian army in Syria in response to an attack on the territory of the Jewish state. This was reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the IDF.
"In response to a missile attack by Israel from Syrian territory last night on Israel, Israeli fighters hit dozens of Iran’s Al-Quds and Syrian Armed Forces military targets," the report said. It is noted that strikes were made at the locations of the ground-to-air missiles, military bases and weapons depots. On Tuesday, the Israeli military informed of the interception by air defense of four missiles launched from Syria through the Golan Heights.
According to Al Hadath, at least five Syrian soldiers and six Iranian military advisers died as a result of attacks by the Israeli Air Force on the outskirts of Damascus. According to the channel, the missiles hit several army positions in the Al-Kuneitra region, as well as objects in Al-Kiswa and Qudsia, where Iranian military specialists were located.
Earlier, the SANA agency reported that two people from the village of Beit Saber, who died from shrapnel wounds, were victims of an Israeli missile attack. "One of the missiles hit the apartment building and destroyed it, there are also several wounded people who were taken to the hospital in Katna," the agency said. Messages about the victims came from the outskirts of Qudsia in the west of Damascus, which in the past has been repeatedly attacked by Israel.
According to the agency, the attacks were carried out by the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights and the city of Marjayun in southern Lebanon. "The Israeli aggressors conducted intensive rocket fire, but the Syrian air defense systems managed to hit most of the air targets," a Syrian military source told SANA.
Earlier, the SANA agency, citing a source in the Syrian Armed Forces, reported that Syrian air defense systems destroyed several missiles over the vicinity of Damascus. According to the agency, Israeli warplanes fired several missiles from the Golan Heights and the Lebanese city of Marjayun towards the Syrian capital. However, Syrian air defense systems were able to intercept these missiles and destroyed most of them before the missiles reached their targets.
Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov called the attack of the Israeli Air Force on the territory of Syria contrary to international law, reports TASS. According to him, Moscow intends to find out under what circumstances this happened. "This is all very wrong and leads to an unnecessary escalation of tension," Bogdanov said.
