SSG was created in 2014 – a month after the MN-17 was shot down by a Buk missile in the sky over the Donbass. All 298 passengers died. On Monday, June 17, five years have passed since the day of the tragedy.

“Names will be announced. Suspicions will be brought. After that, the Schiphol criminal court itself (Netherlands) should work, which will consider this case. But until the court finds the guilt of such and such, it cannot be said that they are guilty … This is only the tip. Naturally, then the number of people involved in this will be much larger than the four people who will be announced, ”said Zerkal.

When asked if the leadership of the Russian army was in question, she answered in the affirmative, explaining that it was impossible to transfer such weapons as the Buk anti-aircraft missile system from which the plane was shot down without permission. The deputy minister clarified that there is already all the information about how the Buk arrived at the firing position, but there is no data on the shooters.

After that, she said, the presentation of an international team of Bellingkat researchers who collect and analyze information from open sources is expected.

Earlier, various versions of what happened were put forward: the plane could be shot down with the help of a fighter or air defense equipment. Ultimately, the Joint Investigation Team found that the plane was shot down by a guided missile from the Buk anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). At the same time, Kiev accused the Donbass militias of this, and those of Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that allegations of Russia's involvement in the crash of the Boeing are unfounded, since the investigation is biased and one-sided. In this regard, in September, the agency announced the data with the stamp "top secret" on the rocket that shot down the MH-17.

According to these data, the rocket that shot down the aircraft, whose board number was installed, was sent to the military unit of the Ukrainian SSR in 1986 and did not return to Russia after that. And the missile regiment, armed with Buk, was repeatedly involved in the operation of the Ukrainian security forces in Donetsk and Lugansk regions.

Moreover, the specialists of the Almaz-Antey concern, which produces the Buk air defense system, conducted several experiments with the decommissioned Boeing, which have similar technical and physical characteristics. According to their results, they came to the conclusion that the MH-17 was shot down by a 9M38 missile, and that fire on the liner was opened from the settlement of Zaroshchenskoye, controlled by the Ukrainian military on the day of the disaster.

Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Alexander Shulgin said that Moscow is actively cooperating with the Dutch prosecutor’s office and does not understand why the data provided are still not in demand.
