About two hundred activists of the Right Sector *, National Corps and Liberty parties came to the Presidential Office building. Those gathered demand from Vladimir Zelensky an “adequate” reaction to the teleconference between the Ukrainian NewsOne channel and the Russian Rossiya-1.
In addition, protesters demand the closure of the border with Russia, the arrest of Russian business and the Kremlin’s agents in Ukraine. Currently, the situation in the area of Zelensky’s office is calm; several dozen police officers guard the territory.
The teleconference was to take place on July 12 at 18:00. Maria Sittel and Andrey Malakhov from the Russian side and Elena Kirik with Vasily Golovanov from the Ukraine were invited as presenters.

On Monday, July 8, NewsOne announced the cancellation of the teleconference. According to the channel, the decision was associated with threats that began to come to journalists.
According to NewsOne management, this initiative was motivated solely by the goal of restoring peace in Ukraine. At the same time, the Kremlin supported the idea of a teleconference, but Ukrainian President Zelensky opposed.
